About the Facility
We are an independent retirement residence for seniors that are 60+
As an independent living facility, most of our residents are ambulatory and able to care for themselves with minimal assistance. This classification means we do not have on-staff nurses, as you would with an assisted living facility.
However, care aids do come to our facility via Fraser Health or through private arrangements.
There are 50 suites in total at the Earl Haig Retirement Residence.
Of those suites, 32 are at the set price listed on our Living Spaces page.
The remaining 18 are available for residents under BC Housing at the subsidized rate of $1,615.00 per month.
There is a sense of community and family between the residents and staff. Our residents are always telling us “the staff are extremely personable and very helpful”.
We have homemade meals that are top of the line thanks to our excellent chefs. These delicious meals are included as part of the suite rental price.
Plus, there are two bus lines just steps away from the front door which makes travel very convenient for our residents, family, and friends.

BC Housing
Yes, we do!
Of the 50 suites at the Earl Haig Retirement Residence, 18 are subsidized through BC Housing (your income and assets will be used to determine if you qualify).
A subsidised 1 bedroom suite is $1,615 per month for single occupancy or $2,015 per month for two people. If two people will be occupying the suite, both occupants must qualify for subsidized housing.
No. The 2 bedroom suites are not included in the subsidized program.
You must submit an approved BC Housing Registry Application (please phone BC Housing for up-to-date qualification guidelines and application).
Unfortunately, we do not work with SAFER (Shelter Aid For Elderly Renters).
